energy & meteo systems takes part at high-ranking round table dialogue about Latin America

By invitation of Lateinamerika Verein and the Agentur für Wirtschaft und Entwicklung, energy & meteo systems participated last week in a high-ranking round table dinner and dialogue on "Economy and Development in Transition: a fair, green and digital future – Latin America as a strong partner". The keynote speakers were Niels Annen, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and the President of the European Investment Bank (EIB), Werner Hoyer.

As a contribution from the private sector and an example of the much-needed digitization of the energy transition, our Director for International Sales and Business Development, Ulrich Kaltenbach, provided some insights to energy & meteo system´s activities in Latin America. In the past years we have carried out several consulting projects on Virtual Power Plants and best practices in solar and wind power forecasting in Argentina, Mexico, Central America and the Dominican Republic.

In his pitch, Ulrich Kaltenbach highlighted in particular the ongoing forecasting pilot project in Peru. Until end of 2023 we supply on behalf of GET.transform reliable and accurate power predictions for all wind and solar power parks to the national grid operator COES. We will be back in Lima in March 2024 to share in a workshop the results and key findings from the pilot project with COES and other organizations of the Peruvian power system.
